Zuurzakken zijn inheems in tropische gebieden in Noord- en Zuid-Amerika. De zuurzakvrucht is een grote groene ovale of hartvormige vrucht met een doornige schil. Sommige bronnen beschrijven de vrucht als een muskusachtige smaak, terwijl andere de smaak vergelijken met die van een banaan of een papaja. Mensen gebruiken het fruit om sap, smoothies, ijs en andere zoete lekkernijen te maken.
Veel mensen gebruiken de bladeren van de zuurzakfruitboom ook om zuurzakthee te maken. Zuurzak wordt ook graviola genoemd, dus de drank kan ook graviola-thee worden genoemd. Andere namen voor zuurzak zijn guanabana, custardappel en Braziliaanse pootpoot .
Hoe te groeien,
Ik raad aan om ze een paar uur in water te laten weken en de papieren handdoekmethode te gebruiken om ze te laten ontkiemen. Je kunt een deel van de zaden ook in potten planten. De zaden hebben 2-4 weken nodig om te ontkiemen. Ze hebben ook overal warme temperaturen nodig (midden 70 tot midden 80 graden Fahrenheit).
